Duties

• Safely operate commercial box trucks across designated routes while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securement of pharmaceutical goods.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules and report any delays or issues promptly.
• Ensure all freight is delivered accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service during drop-offs.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation.
• Strong knowledge of trucking equipment.
• Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
• Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules.
• Ability to handle automatic transmission trucks confidently and perform truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in local routes preferred.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks required for truck loading/unloading and cargo securing.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per week
