Truck Driver

Main duties: Responsible for driving various types of trucks (HGVs) used for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies. Duties and responsibilities: Ensure transport by gathering delivery/loading addresses and information; estimate the amount of fuel needed and the journey time; ensure all formalities are completed and comply with traffic and transport regulations; check the condition of the vehicle's equipment: brakes, steering, horn, mirrors, wheels, tires, suspension, windshield wipers, tie-down devices, etc.; monitor and participate in the loading and unloading of the vehicle using various mechanical handling equipment, such as ramps, cranes, pallet jacks, etc.; distribute the load judiciously and ensure that the maximum axle load is not exceeded; secure the goods, protect them from the elements, and ensure they are not damaged; drive a truck in highly variable conditions, depending on the terrain, roads, load, weather conditions, etc. Administrative formalities: delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices, etc. Ensure routine vehicle maintenance, wash it, and keep it in good working order. Regularly perform checks and inspections, carry out routine repairs, and replace certain defective parts. In case of breakdown or getting stuck, take effective measures for troubleshooting and urgent repairs. Regarding QHSE: Respect the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company, on the road, and on the Project site. Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the Integrated Management System. Wear appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE) at the project level. Respect the safety instructions formulated by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machinery user manual. Check the condition of the equipment before use to ensure the absence of any malfunction that could harm safety and/or the environment and report any anomalies observed. Drive, handle, and use equipment professionally. precaution, and in strict compliance with safety rules
