About the role

Marulas Industrial Corporation is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our transport operations team. This is a full-time position based in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is essential to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our clients effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety regulations
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure on-time arrival at destinations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damage immediately
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, and delivery records
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior
• Comply with all transport regulations, including documentation and licensing requirements
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries and concerns

What we're looking for

• Valid Professional Driver's License (PDL) for trucks, with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a truck driver in road transport or logistics
• Comprehensive knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
• Excellent time management and route planning skills
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items and operate loading equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Proficiency in reading maps and using GPS navigation systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently whilst following company protocols
• Familiarity with Metro Manila traffic patterns and routes is advantageous
