Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers with automatic and/or manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
• Drive various types of trucks including hopper trailers, feed trailers, and tankers.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, including brakes, lights, tires, and safety equipment
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving schedules effectively
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
• Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers and specialized trucks such as tankers
• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery and route management
• Skilled in operating manual and automatic transmission vehicles confidently and safely
• Experience with load & unload procedures
• Familiarity with different truck types including tankers is preferred
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling
