Truck Driver

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that keeps goods moving efficiently across various routes! In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, to deliver freight across local, regional, or over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight over designated routes.
• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring freight is secured according to safety regulations.
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with logistics procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of truck operated (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling of logistics cargo handling tasks safely.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning on OTR routes.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.

Pay: $1,700.00 - $2,500.00 per week
