Truss Fabricator

Overview

We require a Truss Fabricator to join our team in the assembly of timber roof trusses. In this role you will be responsible for assembling pre-cut timbers to efficiently fabricate roof trusses accurately and safely. Duties

• Assemble and fabricate roof trusses.
• Reading technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of components
• Use joinery skills to connect wood members securely, ensuring structural integrity and safety standards are met
• Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely to enhance productivity and precision in fabrication processes
• Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols related to construction painting, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and other trades involved in building projects

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication or carpentry an advantage but not essential.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate assembly
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during fabrication processes
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times during operation of machinery and handling of materials

Pay: From £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
