Tumble Tots Play Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Play Workers to join our brilliant team across Maldon and Witham on a part time basis. We are recruting to our Maldon centre which runs on a Monday and our Witham centre which runs on a Friday. Current hours are 9-2:15 but are due to increase in the near future up to 5pm due to the demand for additional classes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during our structured play classes. This role involves guiding babies, toddlers and pre schoolers through balance, agility and co-ordination stations to develop the foundations of and instill a lifelong love of movement. The position offers an opportunity to work in an environement focused on child development and enjoyment, while appealing to those looking for a family friendly role to work around their own children.

Duties

• Supervise children during organised play sessions, ensuring their safety at all times
• Encourage the engagement of children to to support their physical and social development, including during circle time where children learn through music.
• Support children's emotional well-being by encouraging positive behaviour and inclusive play.
• Assist with unloading and loading the van and organising play equipment and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Support the planning and delivery of special events or themed activities as needed
• Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians when appropriate.
• Support the leader in regards to lesson plans, offering your observations to ensure they remain challenging for children as they develop their skills.
• Maintain Tumble Tots brand standards at all times.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, or other class based roles is highly desirable
• The ability to learn and deliver with enthusiasm a range of activities, rhymes and action songs which change fortnightly. Encouraging children and grown ups to engage.
• Previous experience delivering baby, toddler and pre schooler classes highly desirable
• Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with children and their carers
• Valid driving licence preferred and access to a car as some centres are rural
• Passionate about working with children and fostering their development through play
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to monitor and support multiple children simultaneously.
• Physically fit due to the hands on nature of the role, loading/unloading the van, quick class equipment change overs and being on your feet throughout.
• Responsible, patient, and nurturing demeanour with a proactive approach to safety
• Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including covering colleague sickness and occasional school holiday cover with appropriate notice.
• Team player who who responds well to instructions, feedback and will support colleagues as needed.
• Motivation and willingness to undertake leader training with the potential to progress.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
