A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Turbine Services Project Engineer, you'll play a critical role in planning and executing major steam turbine service projects that support power generation customers across North America. Based in our Mount Pleasant, PA facility within the Greater Pittsburgh Area, you'll work closely with field teams, customers, and technical specialists to ensure successful outage execution, resource planning, and project delivery.

From pre-outage planning through final project completion, you'll help coordinate complex repair scopes involving turbine machining, welding, blading, and field services activities that keep critical power generation assets operating safely and reliably.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead planning and execution activities for major turbine service projects and customer outages.
  • Develop work packages, tooling requirements, work instructions, and project documentation to support successful field execution.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource planning across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external technical resources to meet outage commitments and customer expectations.
  • Participate in outage planning meetings, technical reviews, rapid risk assessments, and post-outage evaluations.
  • Support onsite machining, welding, blading, and turbine repair activities through effective preparation and project oversight.
  • Collaborate with field teams to identify process improvements, tooling enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support workforce development and knowledge sharing across the Turbine Services organization.
  • Periodically visit customer sites to support project reviews, execution activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting turbine services, field services, outage execution, project engineering, power generation maintenance, or related industrial operations.
  • Professional experience with steam turbines, turbine generators, outage planning, field service operations, or rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Experience managing project schedules, resources, budgets, and execution priorities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other business systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% periodically to support customer outages and project execution activities as required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting steam turbine repairs, outage planning, rotor inspections, blading activities, machining, or welding operations.
