Job description:-

Millwright in Bintulu’s oil and gas sector requires performing hands-on overhauls, alignment, and repair of critical machinery like pumps and compressors during plant shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Overhaul & Repair: Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble heavy rotating machinery including centrifugal/reciprocating pumps, steam turbines, gearboxes, and compressors.
• Precision Alignment: Perform precision laser or dial-indicator shaft alignment and dynamic balancing for high-speed rotating assets.
• Turnaround Execution: Execute mechanical work scopes strictly adhering to shutdown schedules, standard operating procedures, and plant work orders.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures, bearing damages, seal leaks, and vibration issues during active plant maintenance windows.
• Safety Compliance: Follow strict plant safety protocols, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) to achieve goal-zero safety incidents.

Key Requirements:-

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience focusing on rotating equipment within oil, gas, refinery, or heavy industrial plants.
• Turnaround Background: Prior proven experience working in high-pressure plant turnarounds, shutdowns, or brownfield modifications.
• Qualifications: Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering / Machining / Fitting (or equivalent relevant trade background).
• Certificates: Valid safety document or local site safety training; offshore/onshore medical cards (CIDB, NIOSH, or BOSIET if required by specific asset assignments)
