Turner & Fitter – Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Operate conventional lathe machines for various machining operations.
• Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, grooving, and other machining activities.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
• Perform fitting, assembly, and finishing work as per drawings and requirements.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Gauges for dimensional inspection.
• Ensure components are manufactured as per required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools and fitting tools.
• Identify and report machining or fitting-related quality issues.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and keep the machine and workplace clean.
• Follow production schedules and achieve assigned production targets.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth production.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure proper utilization of tools and machines.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of conventional lathe machine operations.
• Basic knowledge of fitting and assembly work.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Safety-conscious and disciplined approach to work.

Pay: ₹500.00 - ₹700.00 per day
