What they need

Tyre Store Supervisor — Sydney City Toyota & Lexus, Waterloo

Sydney City Toyota and Sydney City Lexus are one of NSW's leading automotive dealer groups. Our Waterloo service department manages a high volume of Toyota and Lexus vehicles, and the Tyre Store is a busy, well-equipped part of that operation.

We're looking for an experienced, licensed Tyre Store Supervisor to lead the day to day — hands-on in the workshop, and accountable for the people, stock and workflow that keep it running.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll be responsible for:

Leadership & workflow

  • Supervising tyre store staff, including task allocation, on-the-job coaching and quality checks
  • Managing daily workflow and resourcing to meet booked and walk-in demand
  • Liaising with Service Advisors and the Workshop Manager on capacity, priorities and turnaround times
  • Driving a safe, clean and compliant work area in line with our OH&S requirements

Stock management

  • Managing tyre stock levels, ordering and supplier liaison
  • Stocktakes, stock accuracy and minimising ageing inventory
  • Accurate costing, invoicing and job card completion

Hands-on technical work

  • Fitting, balancing and rotating tyres across passenger, SUV, light commercial and hybrid/EV vehicles
  • Performing four-wheel alignments to manufacturer specification and producing before/after reports
  • Diagnosing tyre wear, steering and suspension-related concerns and advising on corrective work
  • TPMS servicing, relearns and sensor replacement
  • Puncture repairs in line with Australian Standards

Ideal candidate should possess

  • Current NSW licence to carry out wheel alignment work — must have, with the competence to perform alignments unsupervised from day one
  • Demonstrated experience as a tyre fitter and wheel alignment technician (dealership or independent workshop)
  • Previous supervisory, leading hand or 2IC experience in a tyre store or workshop environment
  • Confidence operating modern tyre changers, wheel balancers and computerised alignment equipment
  • Experience with stock control, ordering and stocktakes
  • Current Australian driver's licence (manual capability preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work and your team's

What we offer

  • $75,000 – $95,000 total package including incentives, depending on experience
  • A genuine leadership role with ownership of your department
  • Ongoing training and manufacturer-backed development
  • Modern, well-equipped workshop with quality tooling

Other offers great for you!
