UAT Data Quality Engineer (Banking Project)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, for communication with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Engineering, UAT, Data Analyst, or related roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical/data-related findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Cloudera, particularly Impala and/or Hive, for querying and analyzing large datasets will be a plus

• Experience working with Teradata and understanding of enterprise data warehouse environments will be a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Macro, and VBA for data processing, validation, reporting, and automation will be a plus

• Knowledge of Python for data analysis, validation, automation, and data quality activities will be a plus

• Good understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including test preparation, test execution, defect identification, data validation, and reporting

• Strong knowledge of banking business processes and banking data, with the ability to understand data requirements and identify potential data quality issues will be a plus

• Good understanding of the user’s data area/business data domain, including data sources, data flows, business rules, and data relationships will be a plus
