Job Summary

We are seeking a UHT (Ultra-High Temperature) Operator to control and maintain high-temperature processing and aseptic packaging equipment, primarily in dairy, beverage, and liquid food manufacturing plants.

The core mission of the role is to ensure liquid products (plant-based beverages) are commercially sterilized for safety, or line efficiency

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation & Monitoring

• Set up, calibrate, start up, and run UHT processing units, homogenizers, sterilizers, and aseptic filling/packaging machinery.
• Monitor operational parameters via PLC/HMI touchscreens—including holding temperatures, flow rates, steam pressure, homogenization pressure, and cooling cycles.
• Adjust machinery controls in real time to correct thermal fluctuations or line speed imbalances.

2. Hygiene, Sanitation & Sterilization

• Execute automated CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-in-Place) cycles prior to production runs and after line changes.
• Prepare, measure, and handle cleaning chemicals (caustics and acids) safely according to standard procedures.
• Ensure aseptic zones, sterile air filters, and chemical bath barriers (e.g., hydrogen peroxide solutions) remain uncompromised during production.

3. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Pull sample batches for laboratory quality checks (pH, viscosity, sensory testing, density, micro-testing).
• Conduct package integrity tests (seal strength, seam checks, sterile barrier integrity).
• Maintain strict adherence to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

4. Documentation & Traceability

• Log all critical thermal records, sterilization graphs, batch production details, raw ingredient lot numbers, and downtime events.
• Record equipment performance indicators, waste metrics, and material yields.
• Flag and document any Critical Control Point (CCP) deviations or out-of-spec product immediately.

5. Troubleshooting & Basic Maintenance

• Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical, electrical, or flow disruptions during operational runs.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance, such as replacing worn gaskets, inspecting valves, and clearing product line jams.
• Partner with the maintenance/engineering team on major repairs or scheduled overhauls.

Pay: ₦95,000.00 - ₦100,000.00 per month
