UI Designer

About the Company
Our client is a fast-moving software company with a highly collaborative approach to product development. Design isn’t treated as a separate stage before engineering - designers and developers work together to solve problems, ship useful products and continuously improve the customer experience.

About the Role
This is a hands-on UI Designer role working across engineering, support, sales and marketing. You’ll turn complex problems into simple, intuitive interfaces, create prototypes where useful, collaborate with developers during implementation and help evolve reusable components, patterns and design systems.

Skills & Experience

• Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals
• A portfolio demonstrating products you’ve helped successfully ship
• Expertise across hierarchy, typography, spacing, layout and navigation
• Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction states and accessibility
• Ability to simplify complex software and customer experiences
• B2B SaaS, developer tools, security or complex application experience is advantageous
• HTML/CSS knowledge and the ability to make smaller UI changes would be a bonus

Why Work Here?

• Work side-by-side with engineers rather than relying on traditional design handoffs
• Have genuine influence over what gets built and how products evolve
• Ship regularly rather than spending weeks trying to perfect designs
• Work in a flat environment where great ideas can come from anywhere
• Collaborate directly with engineering, support, sales and marketing
• Take ownership without unnecessary layers of management or process
• Join a startup-style environment that moves quickly and embraces iteration

If you’re a UI Designer who enjoys getting close to the product, collaborating directly with engineers and seeing your work actually ship, we’d love to hear from you.
