Senior Automation Engineer – Jetsons Squad (Automation & Productivity Group)

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join the Jetsons squad — the intelligent automation engine within the Automation & Productivity group. This role sits at the intersection of RPA delivery, AI integration strategy, and production engineering . You will architect, build, and own automation solutions from the ground up, determine when AI is the right tool, and ensure the stability of a live production automation environment that directly supports investment operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Automation delivery : Analyze, design, develop, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions focused on business value, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
• Production ownership : Serve as the primary technical owner for automation stability — monitoring, triaging, and resolving incidents to maintain zero-defect delivery.
• AI evaluation : Assess automation requests and emerging AI capabilities (LLM agents, agentic frameworks) to determine optimal solution approaches.
• Frontend engineering : Build and maintain React-based interfaces for dashboards, workflow tools, and automation outputs.
• LLM integration : Integrate APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI) and AI-native patterns such as RAG pipelines, function calling, and streaming interfaces.
• Agile collaboration : Partner with Product Owners during PI planning and sprint ceremonies to translate business requirements into automation epics and user stories.
• Business partnership : Work with business units to gather requirements, assess opportunities, and design compliant workflows.
• Documentation : Document architecture, design decisions, and process flows using Arc42 or equivalent frameworks.
• Mentorship : Provide guidance to junior engineers, establish code quality standards, and share AI integration practices.
• Emerging tools : Support adoption of UiPath Autopilot, agentic workflow frameworks, and Snowflake-integrated pipelines.
• Enterprise collaboration : Act as a liaison with Intelligent Automation teams across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• UiPath Development : Production-level RPA design and delivery; UiPath certifications (UiARD or equivalent) required.
• React / Frontend : React 18+, TypeScript, component architecture, REST/API integration required.
• EST Availability : Full availability for EST business hours and ceremonies required.
• Automation Analysis : Process assessment, ROI analysis, solution design required.
• Production Operations : Monitoring, triage, root cause analysis, remediation required.
• AI / LLM Integration : Hands-on with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic APIs; RAG pipelines, function calling required.
• Agile / SAFe : PI planning, sprint ceremonies, Jira proficiency required.
• Regulated Industry : Financial services, healthcare, or similar preferred.
• Snowflake : Data querying, pipeline integration preferred.
• ServiceNow / Salesforce : Workflow configuration, API integration preferred.
• Python / C# : Scripting and custom component development preferred.
• Technical Documentation : Arc42, design specs, API contracts, runbooks preferred.
