UI/UX Design Intern

About Role:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern to lead the visual redesign of parqis.com and work closely with the founding team. This role offers hands-on experience in consumer-facing product design, mobile-first interfaces, and building scalable design systems for a fast-growing startup.

What You’ll Do

1. Website Redesign & Visual Design

• Study the current website and lead the redesign process, starting with the homepage
• Create modern, intuitive, and visually engaging user experiences aligned with Gen Z preferences
• Improve layout structure, visual hierarchy, and overall usability of the platform
• Design clean and conversion-focused interfaces for a seamless shopping experience

2. Product & Interface Design

• Design core product pages including trends feed, brand profiles, checkout, and discovery pages
• Build reusable Figma components and scalable design systems for consistency
• Create responsive designs optimized for mobile-first user experiences
• Prepare handoff-ready screens and prototypes for developers

3. User Experience & Research

• Understand user behavior and identify pain points through competitor and market research
• Collaborate with the team to improve navigation, accessibility, and interaction flows
• Apply UX best practices to simplify and enhance the customer journey
• Support rapid design iterations based on feedback and testing

4. Collaboration & Execution

• Work directly with the founding team on product and branding decisions
• Coordinate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
• Maintain consistency across web and mobile interfaces
• Adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment with continuous improvements

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or a related field
• Strong Figma skills including prototyping, components, and developer handoff
• Portfolio showcasing real consumer-facing interfaces or product designs
• Comfortable working remotely in a fast-moving startup environment
• Bonus: Experience with Shopify, e-commerce platforms, or design systems
