Role: React / Next.js Frontend Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Build and embed chat components within an existing workflow application.
• Integrate frontend applications with FastAPI backend APIs.
• Implement real-time, streaming chat responses using Server-Sent Events (SSE).
• Work with backend teams to ensure seamless API integration and efficient data exchange.
• Integrate frontend applications with services exposed through an Application Load Balancer (ALB).
• Handle API errors, loading states, streaming interruptions, and reconnection scenarios.
• Optimize frontend performance, usability, and responsiveness.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend integration issues.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience building chat interfaces or interactive web applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous API communication.
• Practical experience implementing Server-Sent Events (SSE) for streaming responses.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with FastAPI or similar backend APIs.
• Understanding of Application Load Balancers (ALB) and frontend-to-backend communication.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, and browser developer tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing AI chatbot or LLM-powered applications.
• Familiarity with streaming AI-generated responses.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and load-balancing concepts.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright.

Ideal Candidate

A frontend developer who can independently build a React/Next.js chat interface, integrate it with backend APIs, and implement reliable real-time streaming functionality.
