Job Title: UI/UX Design Intern (1+ Years Experience)

• Trucking Management System (TMS): Web dashboards for fast decision-making and dispatching.
• Driver Mobile App: Simple, on-the-go mobile workflows for drivers.
• Big Garage: A data-heavy fleet maintenance platform for fleet owners and mechanics.

Our mission is to digitize and simplify logistics operations through intuitive, accessible, and scalable software.Role OverviewWe are looking for a UI/UX Design Intern with 1+ years of experience who has a keen eye for design, strong product thinking, and a passion for simplifying complex B2B workflows. In this role, you will work closely with our product and development teams to design intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly interfaces across our web and mobile platforms.Your designs will directly impact a diverse user base, ranging from desk-bound dispatchers managing real-time tracking dashboards to truck drivers and mechanics operating in fast-paced environments. While front-end coding is not required, an understanding of how layouts translate into clean code is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

UI/UX Design:-

• Design clean, modern, and highly usable interfaces for :
• TMS (web dashboards)
• Driver mobile app
• Big Garage maintenance platform
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Ensure consistent design systems across all products
• User Experience Optimisation

Understand logistics workflows (dispatch, routing, maintenance)Improve:Build and maintain a design system/component libraryStandardize:Work closely with:Participate in:Conduct usability testing with:Gather feedback and iterate on designs quicklyRequired Skills DesignStrong experience with:

• Load booking flows
• Driver trip sheets
• Maintenance workflows
• Reduce user friction and improve efficiency

Design Hand-off & UI Quality Assurance:

• Prepare organized Figma files with auto-layout, spacing rules, and components
• Document design tokens, interactive states, and responsive behavior for developers
• Inspect implemented front-end UI to ensure it matches the original design specs
• Collaborate with engineering to debug visual inconsistencies and alignment issues

Design System & Scalability:

• Colours, typography, components
• Interaction patterns
• Ensure scalability as new modules are added

Collaboration:

• Product Owner
• Developers
• QA/Testers
• Feature planning
• Sprint discussions
• Usability improvements

User Research & Testing:

• Dispatchers
• Drivers
• Fleet managers
• Figma (Advanced: auto-layout, components, variants, and prototyping)
• Adobe XD / Sketch

Understanding of:

• UX principles
• Information architecture
• User journey mapping

Frontend Knowledge Familiarity with:

• HTML5 & CSS3 (Understanding how layouts translate to web/mobile screens)
• React.js (preferred)
• Responsive & mobile-first design principles
• Basic understanding of framework components (e.g., Material UI, Tailwind)

UX Thinking:

• Ability to simplify complex workflows
• Experience designing data-heavy dashboards or enterprise tools
• Strong problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have:

• Experience with design systems like Material UI
• Basic knowledge of:
• API handling
• Performance optimization
• Animation/micro-interaction skills
