UK Accountant

Role overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant to join us. The role is ideal for someone who is seeking exposure to international financial reporting, fund accounting, and outsourcing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Endtoend review of annual and semiannual financial statements for ICAV subfunds operating under UCITS and AIF regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with IFRS/Lux GAAP and CBI/CSSF requirements.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and regulatory filings under IFRS.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports.
• Assist in reconciliations (bank, investment, intercompany) and variance analysis.
• Contribute to management reporting by assisting in the preparation of financial reports for the CFO, CEO, and Board.
• Support preparation and filing of routine regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland under supervision.
• Assist in monitoring daily and monthly cash flow positions and updating liquidity schedules.
• Support dashboard reporting initiatives by compiling financial and fund performance data.
• Assist in reviewing Fund Ongoing Charges and Transaction Costs computations provided by Fund Administrators.
• Ensure policies and internal procedures are properly followed and documented.

Essential Qualifications :

• Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CPA (or finalist with strong progress).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit, preferably with exposure to financial services clients.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, journal preparation, and financial report preparation.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) as well as familiarity with Power BI
• Strong communication and time management skills.
