UKG Performance Management Migration & Optimization

About the Engagement

A confidential organization is seeking an experienced independent contractor to lead a performance management transformation within the UKG ecosystem. This engagement combines platform migration, process redesign, and long-term performance management optimization — migrating annual performance review processes from Engagedly to the UKG Performance module while establishing a scalable, sustainable performance management framework for the long term.

The selected contractor will act as both a UKG technical expert and a performance management consultant, preserving critical business outcomes wherever feasible while improving the experience for employees, managers, administrators, and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Assess the current-state performance review process (Engagedly configuration, workflows, rating methodologies, calibration practices, forms/templates, and reporting)
• Lead stakeholder discovery: interviews, workshops, requirements documentation, and prioritization
• Design and configure the future-state annual review process in UKG Performance, including templates, goal alignment, competency frameworks, reviewer workflows, self-assessments, multi-rater feedback, and approval routing
• Define and execute a historical data migration strategy, including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation between Engagedly and UKG
• Lead unit, system, and UAT testing support, defect management, and production readiness/go-live review
• Optimize broader performance management activities beyond annual reviews: goal management, continuous performance/coaching processes, talent development alignment, and administrative governance
• Recommend integration strategies for performance data across the UKG ecosystem (Core HR, HR Service Delivery, downstream talent/workforce processes)
• Design a reporting and analytics framework: executive dashboards, compliance/completion reporting, KPIs, and data governance
• Provide ongoing strategic advisory on performance management best practices and UKG platform capabilities
• Deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to enable long-term internal ownership

Engagement Focus

This is an outcomes-focused engagement, not a simple system migration. The contractor will independently assess business requirements, translate them into system design decisions, provide best-practice recommendations, execute complex implementation activities, and guide the organization toward a mature, scalable performance management operating model within UKG.

Required Experience

• Extensive UKG Performance Management implementation experience
• Experience migrating performance management programs from legacy platforms
• Strong understanding of performance management methodologies and practices
• HR technology implementation leadership experience
• Data migration and systems integration experience
• Reporting and analytics expertise within HR ecosystems
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills

Preferred Experience

• UKG-certified consultant experience
• Experience with Engagedly migrations
• UKG HR Service Delivery (HRSD) experience
• Experience supporting large-scale performance management transformations
• Experience designing enterprise talent management processes
• Experience in regulated or complex organizational environments
