Job Title: UL Test Engineer

Group: Cochin Validation Lab

**Job Summary:**The UL CTDP (Customer Test Data Program) Test Engineer is responsible for performing, validating, and documenting testing of electrical connectors and interconnection systems in accordance with UL standards, and UL CTDP procedures. The engineer ensures test accuracy, compliance, quality system adherence, and supports certification activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct qualification and certification testing of connectors, terminals, headers, and cable assemblies.
• Conducts Electrical and Mechanical test on connector as per the respective UL standard

• Develop and review test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Set up and Operate laboratory equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Maintain compliance with UL CTDP requirements.
• Ensures that Testing is done inline with UL Requirements
• Participate in UL witness audits and assessments.
• Liaison with respective UL Engineer for the conducting the test and clarifying the test set up

Qualifications , Experience & Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working in UL , Test Certification test lab addressing Electrical , Mechanical & Environmental Tests
• Experience working in NABL, ISO/IEC 17025, UL CTDP, or accredited laboratories.
• Good Knowledge and experience of the UL Test Standards
• Hands-on experience with test equipment, set up
• Solid understanding and Knowledge on the all the Product testing Standards – EIA , IEC standards for connector application
• Experience in product testing, validation processes, and qualification protocols.
• Strong Skills in Failure Analysis
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information to UL Engineer
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of global industry standards and regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, IEC, EIA).
• High technical aptitude and willingness to continually learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Provide technical guidance on standards and compliance requirements.
• Technical report writing skills

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
