Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits to control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using access control systems.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
• Operate security systems including surveillance cameras and alarm systems to maintain constant oversight of the property.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate protocols such as first aid or contacting law enforcement when necessary.
• Write detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and clearly.
• Perform background checks on new personnel as part of operational security procedures.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism, applying conflict management techniques to de-escalate issues effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable; military background is a plus.
• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance technology, and access control systems.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong understanding of physical security practices and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent written communication skills for report writing and documentation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operations efficiently while ensuring compliance with all security regulations.

Pay: $30.34 - $39.50 per hour
