Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in maintaining a safe and secure environment across our facilities. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity and respond promptly to suspicious behavior or incidents.
• Control access points using security systems, perform background checks on visitors or contractors, and verify identification to ensure authorized entry.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches; operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future reference.
• Assist with conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes calmly and professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
• Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information and cooperation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of physical security measures including access control systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident management.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and conflict management; capable of writing clear incident reports.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk extensively during patrols, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry or location.

Pay: $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 60.0 per week
