Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of all individuals on site.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV and other security equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Assist in conflict management by de-escalating situations as necessary.
• Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals in need.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as needed for law enforcement or management review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure proper handling of security matters.

Skills

• Strong understanding of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people.
