Unarmed Security Officer – Retail Patrol | Centreville/Clifton, VA

GoJoe Patrol is hiring reliable, professional Unarmed Security Officers for commercial retail properties in the Centreville and Clifton, Virginia area.

This position involves a combination of vehicle and foot patrols. Officers will maintain a visible security presence, interact professionally with tenants and customers, identify safety and security concerns, and accurately document patrol activity and incidents.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Coverage operates seven days per week
• Shifts will fall between approximately 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Weekday and weekend availability is needed
• Exact schedules will be assigned based on site needs and employee availability

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols
• Patrol parking lots, storefronts, rear areas, and fire lanes
• Perform store and tenant check-ins
• Monitor for trespassing and loitering
• Identify and report vandalism or graffiti
• Address disruptive or suspicious behavior
• Monitor and report theft or security concerns
• Identify facility or safety issues
• Monitor parking and fire-lane violations
• Contact emergency services when appropriate
• Complete professional written incident reports
• Take photographs when required
• Document patrol activity accurately
• Communicate professionally with tenants, customers, property management, and GoJoe Patrol supervisors

Qualifications

• Must meet all Virginia requirements applicable to unarmed security personnel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully complete GoJoe Patrol's hiring and background-screening process
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to conduct routine walking patrols
• Able to write clear and accurate reports
• Able to interact professionally with tenants, customers, and the general public
• Ability to respond appropriately to security and emergency situations
• Weekend availability preferred
• A clean driving record is mandatory

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in security, loss prevention, military service, law enforcement, retail security, commercial-property security, customer service, or a similar position is preferred.

Experience completing incident reports or using electronic patrol/reporting systems is a plus.
