Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
• Operate access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across different areas and identify potential security threats.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting findings promptly.
• Maintain physical security through manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies.
• Ensure adherence to all security regulations and company policies while performing patrols and surveillance activities.

Experience

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Familiarity with conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in various environments.
• Experience in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week

Work Location: In person
