Unarmed Security Guard

Overview

Join our security team as an Unarmed Security Guard, where your vigilance and dedication will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee activity across the premises and detect any suspicious behavior.
• Control access points using security systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure physical security measures are in place and functioning properly.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events accurately and thoroughly.
• Assist with customer service duties by providing directions and information while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and familiarity with performing background checks.
• Ability to handle emergency situations effectively using first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Experience with manual handling and heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident response.
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety.
• Understanding of physical security measures including patrolling routines and incident report writing.
• Ability to perform under pressure while adhering strictly to security regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
