Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and incident prevention. Duties

• Monitor and control access points using security systems and manual checks to verify authorized personnel and visitors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to observe activity across different areas, ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, security breaches, or accidents.
• Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security clearance processes.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques when dealing with unruly individuals or disputes while maintaining professionalism.
• Operate access control systems and maintain logs of all entries and exits for accountability purposes.
• Assist with emergency procedures such as first aid administration, AED operation, or fire safety protocols when necessary.
• Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or in response to incidents on-site.

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control platforms.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of physical security measures including patrolling techniques and manual handling skills.
• Proven ability to write clear incident reports and perform background checks accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively and de-escalate tense situations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand or walk for extended periods during patrols.
