Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and incident management. Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security risks or breaches.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the site, ensuring compliance with security procedures.
• Respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activities, implementing emergency response procedures as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, disturbances, or safety incidents accurately and thoroughly.
• Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when required, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist with conflict de-escalation and conflict management to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on site.

Experience

• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of physical security practices.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control systems is essential.
• Experience in emergency response procedures including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid is preferred.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or equipment movement.
• Familiarity with incident report writing, law enforcement protocols, and performing background checks enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Training in conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management ensures preparedness for challenging situations.

Pay: $25.94 - $31.24 per hour
