Job Overview

As an Unarmed Security Guard, you’ll help protect people, property, and daily operations through attentive surveillance, access control, and regular patrols. You’ll respond calmly to concerns, follow emergency response procedures, and document incidents clearly. This role requires sound judgment, professional customer service, and compliance with applicable security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas, monitor surveillance systems, and operate access control systems to identify and address security concerns.
• Verify authorized entry, perform background checks when assigned and permitted, and communicate access decisions respectfully.
• Respond to emergencies, use conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques, and provide first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or automated external defibrillator (AED) support within your training.
• Write accurate incident reports and follow established procedures when coordinating with emergency responders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated reliability, clear communication, sound judgment, and a customer-service mindset; security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of physical security, patrolling, surveillance, access control, incident report writing, emergency response procedures, and compliance with security regulations.
• First aid and CPR training, including AED operation, is preferred; Taser familiarity may be useful where authorized and applicable.
• Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as needed, while following safe practices.
• Firearm handling is not part of this unarmed role.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
