Duties

• Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance and perform regular patrols to identify potential security risks or irregularities
• Control access points using security systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and vendors
• Conduct thorough background checks on visitors or contractors as required to ensure compliance with security policies
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities for record-keeping and follow-up
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes calmly and professionally while maintaining safety
• Operate access control systems and perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when needed for equipment or supplies

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with the ability to observe and assess situations quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, emergency response protocols, and fire safety regulations
• Performing incident report writing, and compliance with security regulations
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with visitors, staff, and contractors
• Physical security expertise including patrolling, heavy lifting, and performing manual handling tasks safely
