Hiring Professional Security Officers (Unarmed)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)

• A VALID State or Driver’s License photo ID
• A VALID Social Security card
• Active Illinois PERC (verified before interview)
• A minimum 20-hour security certificate
• MUST be able to pass a background check (fingerprints)
• Reliable transportation — must arrive ON TIME
• MUST be able to follow the directions of your manager/supervisor
• Strong communication skills
• Clean, neat, professional appearance
• MUST have ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• MUST follow UPA’s Code of Conduct and Post Orders with no exceptions
• MUST stand post until relief arrives, potentially up to 4 hours in an emergency

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• 4-day workweek
• Starting Pay: $18–$20 per hour
• Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly, with no check holdback
• Payroll: Direct deposit available. W-2 provided.
