In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior.
• Control access points using security systems, verifying identities, and maintaining logs of all visitors, contractors, and staff.
• Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations following established procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities.
• Assist with emergency response procedures including first aid administration, AED operation, CPR, and fire safety protocols.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required, ensuring compliance with security regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as military or law enforcement is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are highly desirable.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or incident management.
• Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions.
• Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards relevant to physical security operations.
