What they need

Teddy Wilf’s Nurseries are looking for Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our growing team! We currently have vacancies for Under 2's Practitioners across our Teddy Wilf's sites due to growing demand!

Do you LOVE working with children? Are you passionate about supporting children and their families? Do you give amazing cuddles? Are you happy to sing, and read, and play, and have fun?

Do you HATE paperwork? If yes, we have everything to make it as simply as possible – we want you playing, learning and having fun, not completing endless observations and LOADS of paperwork!

Do you LOVE working as part of a team? If yes, we have an incredible team which includes Midday Meal Supervisors, Early Years Practitioners, SEN Support Workers, Inclusion Support, Pastoral Support, Managers and Directors. We have various Staff Events throughout the year and regularly get together for training.

Do you HATE paying for things your employer should be covering? We ensure no staff pay for uniform, parking or their DBS, as well as unlimited team and coffee to ensure you aren’t out of pocket! We also offer discounted gym memberships and a FREE Employee Assistance Programme, so Staff always have someone to talk to.

Do you LOVE having a work life balance? If yes, we offer additional paid leave for your Birthday, two full weeks off at Christmas, loyalty days for staff and long service incentives for 5, 10 and 15 years of service!

Do you want to make a difference? Are you willing to help us build the next generation? Then we might just have the perfect role for you!

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner within our Under Two’s Room, you will:

  • Provide warm, responsive and individualised care for babies and young children.
  • Build strong, secure relationships with your key children and get to know their individual personalities, routines and needs.
  • Create fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage children to explore, discover and learn.
  • Support children's personal, social, emotional, physical and communication development through everyday interactions and play.
  • Observe and celebrate children's development and milestones, supporting their next steps in line with the EYFS.
  • Work closely with parents and carers, building positive relationships and keeping them involved in their child's nursery journey.
  • Work as part of a supportive room team to ensure every child receives consistently high-quality care.
  • Support children's individual routines, including feeding, sleeping and personal care, with sensitivity and respect.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies and procedures.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
  • Have experience of working with babies and young children, or a particular passion for developing your experience with under-twos.
  • Are naturally warm, patient and nurturing.
  • Understand the importance of attachment, secure relationships and responsive care during children's earliest years.
  • Enjoy getting down on the floor, joining in with play, singing songs, reading stories and following children's interests.
  • Are confident communicating with parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Are reliable, enthusiastic and a positive team member.
  • Take pride in creating wonderful experiences for children – even when that means getting covered in paint, messy play or lunch!
