We’re hiring an Underfloor Heating (UFH) Designer with specific experience and knowledge in underfloor heating systems. This role brings design work that is currently completed by a third-party designer into our offshore team, giving you real ownership of a core technical function.

You’ll receive project information and architectural floor plans, and you’ll be responsible for producing the required underfloor heating designs and pipe layouts. This is a specialist UFH design role rather than a general CAD Designer position, and previous underfloor heating design experience is the key requirement.

You will work closely with our team on project requirements, raising technical questions where information is unclear or incomplete, and delivering drawings that are accurate, professional and ready to use.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Underfloor Heating Designer, you’ll support the business across UFH system design, technical drawing production, floor construction and design considerations, and project coordination.

UFH System Design & Pipe Layouts

• Produce underfloor heating system designs and accurate UFH pipe layouts
• Interpret architectural floor plans and work from DWG and PDF drawings
• Apply specified pipe centers and produce correct pipe routing, including radiused pipe ends
• Work with heat-loss information, design temperatures and floor coverings to inform each design

Floor Construction Considerations

• Design for different floor construction methods, including screeded floors, systems installed between timber joists, upper-floor systems and overlay systems
• Account for timber joist directions, including the varying joist directions found in older properties
• Adapt layouts for renovation projects and understand how each floor build-up affects the required pipe layout

Technical Drawing Production

• Produce clear, technically accurate and professional UFH drawings
• Include manifold locations, information and tables where required
• Produce floor-specific system layouts to the required standard

Project Coordination

• Work from supplied project specifications and information
• Raise technical questions where project information is unclear or incomplete
• Coordinate with the team regarding project requirements

What We’re Looking For

• P revious underfloor heating (UFH) design experience
• Has experience in Hyrdonic, HVAC, Heating, UFH design
• Experience producing UFH pipe layouts
• Understanding of floor build-ups and how UFH designs differ across screeded floors, between timber joists, upper floors, overlay systems and renovation projects
• Understanding of pipe centers, and of joist direction and its impact on design
• Ability to interpret architectural floor plans
• Comfortable working with DWG and/or PDF drawings
• Ability to work from supplied project specifications and to ask technical questions where information is missing
• Open to different design software, as the quality of the output matters more than the program used; AutoCAD or similar CAD/design software experience is a plus
• HVAC design experience is a plus
• Heat-loss calculation knowledge and experience working with design temperatures is a plus
• Understanding of floor coverings and their impact on UFH is a plus
• Experience producing manifold schedules and tables is a plus
• Residential heating design experience and renovation project experience are a plus
• UK construction or building services exposure is a plus
• Willingness to work in UK business hours
• Must be willing to work onsite in Angeles City, Pampanga
