Kaynar Group is seeking experienced Underground Light Vehicle Mechanics to maintain and repair light vehicle fleets supporting underground mining operations.

Kaynar Group is a majority Indigenous-owned business with headquarters in Broome, providing skilled maintenance personnel to the mining industry across Western Australia.

The Role
Working alongside the site maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing underground light vehicles.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing preventative maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs.
• Maintaining braking, steering, suspension, cooling and drivetrain systems.
• Completing maintenance records and communicating equipment defects.
• Following site safety procedures and maintaining a safe, organised workshop.

What You’ll Bring

• Australian-recognised Light Vehicle Mechanical trade qualification.
• Previous experience maintaining light vehicles in underground mining environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with Toyota LandCruisers and other mine-site light vehicles.
• Current driver’s licence, preferably manual.
• A commitment to safety, reliability and quality workmanship.
• Ability to meet site medical and drug and alcohol screening requirements.
