$85/hr + $10/hr Night Shift Uplift | 8:6 Roster | Permanent | Southern Cross

Are you an experienced Underground Mechanical Fitter with a strong background in pumps and fixed plant?

We're looking for 4 experienced Underground Mechanical Fitters to join the team at Barto Gold in Southern Cross on a permanent basis.

The Role

Working across underground fixed plant and pump systems, your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing faults, inspecting and testing fixed machinery underground
• Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance
• Scheduled inspections and maintenance of fixed plant
• Working on mono pumps and dewatering stations
• Maintenance and fault-finding on compressors and ventilation fans
• Maintaining fixed surface ancillary equipment
• Mechanical fault-finding, diagnosis, repair and maintenance
• Actively participating in maintenance planning and improvement activities

About You

To be considered, you must have:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Previous underground mining experience
• Proven experience working with pumps and fixed plant
• Experience with equipment such as mono pumps, dewatering systems, compressors and ventilation fans
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Strong safety awareness and a proactive approach to maintenance
• A genuine team-player attitude
