With over a century of mining history, Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing high-grade gold production. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the Mine Planning Engineer is responsible for creating and optimizing short-term and long-term mine plans to ensure safe and efficient ore extraction in alignment with the Life of Mine (LOM) strategy.

This includes developing detailed stope designs, layouts, and production schedules, while collaborating closely with geological, geotechnical, and operational teams. The role requires regular updates to mine plans based on new geological data, operational feedback, or safety and regulatory considerations specific to Darlot's underground environment. A critical focus is on identifying cost-effective mining methods that enhance resource recovery while mitigating operational risks.

This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Generate detailed stope designs and development layouts, incorporating geological and geotechnical guidance.
