About Americas Gold & Silver

Americas Gold & Silver operates the historic underground Galena Mine in North Idaho’s scenic Silver Valley—an area known for its mining history and year-round recreational activities. We provide a team-oriented environment where developing tradespeople can build their skills and grow their careers in mining.

Job Description:

• Perform underground mining operations in production and development
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Ensure proper ventilation in underground work areas
• Inspect and repair equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets

Required Qualifications:

• Muck, Drill, Blast in conventional Jackleg/Jumbo slusher stopes and mechanized work areas
• Previous experience in underground mining required!
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Proficient in operating heavy equipment and machinery
• Ability to read maps and follow technical instructions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in challenging underground conditions
