Underground Utilities Worker

Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Underground Utilities Worker and play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential underground utility systems. Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and front skid loader to excavate trenches and install underground utilities.
• Install and repair water supply systems, Septic systems, and electrical infrastructure following blueprint specifications.
• Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute utility installations.
• Locate existing underground utilities using utility locating tools and ensure safe trenching practices in compliance with federal construction safety regulations.
• Perform construction trenching activities for sewer lines, pipelines, and utility systems while adhering to safety protocols.
• Use hand tools and lasers to ensure precise pipe alignment and installation accuracy.
• Maintain tools, Job supplies, and clean work area
• Equipment & vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and front skid loader in construction or utility projects.
• Knowledge of underground utility installation processes including sewer lines, water systems, and wastewater systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
• Familiarity with utility locating techniques and safety regulations governing construction site work.
• Skilled in pipe installation techniques using laser-guided equipment for precision alignment.
• Experience working on sanitary drainage systems and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Excellent hand tool skills for finishing work and minor repairs on-site.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed construction specifications reliably.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
