What You’ll Be Doing

• Locate and mark underground utilities including gas, power, telecom, water, and sewer lines using maps and advanced locating equipment
• Interpret site plans, blueprints, and utility records with a high level of accuracy
• Communicate clearly and confidently with crews, supervisors, and clients on-site
• Complete detailed field documentation, sketches, and digital reports
• Perform all work in compliance with client standards, while consistently pushing beyond minimum industry expectations
• Coordinate daily activities with supervisors and field teams
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with landowners and stakeholders
• Approach each job with an owner’s mindset, identifying risks, efficiencies, and opportunities to improve execution

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3+ year of utility locating experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of ground disturbance practices and safe work procedures
• High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, clean work
• Ability to work independently while representing the company with confidence
• Strong communication skills — able to clearly speak to clients and crews alike
• Background in competitive athletics (varsity or high-level team sports) is considered a strong asset
• Willingness to travel and adapt to changing field conditions
• A mindset focused on growth, accountability, and continuous improvement

Required Certifications & Requirements

• Already has Ground Disturbance Level II or willing to take the course
• Already has CSTS 2020, WHMIS, and First Aid (current) or willing to take the course
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
• Locate 101 certificate or willing to take

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
