UNDERGROUND UTILITY WORKING FOREMAN

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage underground utility construction crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
• Review construction drawings, technical plans, and blueprints to interpret project requirements accurately.
• Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to meet deadlines.
• Supervise safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety on-site.
• Oversee quality control measures, inspecting work for compliance with specifications and industry standards.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and team members effectively while maintaining clear communication channels.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, and others to track progress, document issues, and report project status.
• Conduct regular site inspections with tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure proper installation of pipelines and related infrastructure.
• Review construction schedules for coordination of activities like trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and testing procedures.
• Enforce adherence to construction regulations and safety standards while managing project budgets and resource allocations.

Experience

• Proven experience supervising underground utility or pipeline construction projects within a commercial or federal setting.
• Strong background in construction site management with comprehensive knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience with construction safety management practices aligned with OSHA standards and federal regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Skilled in managing contracts, reviewing technical documents, and coordinating construction activities efficiently.
• Previous use of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid; experience with project scheduling and cost control is highly desirable.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to lead crews confidently while liaising with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
