Underwriter

I. Job Responsibilities

• Assist the underwriting teams in performing daily pre-bind and post-bind underwriting tasks for General Insurance products in compliance with company guidelines
• Assist to maintain daily operation of Underwriting Team
• Assist to update the Underwriting Guideline effectively and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer’s requests to be properly handled and resolved in order to maintain customer satisfaction level
• Revenue and profitablility responsibilty for asigned portfolio
• Closely monitor the quality and profitablility of portfolio
• Provide professional advise to all relevant departments with the underwriting authority assigned
• To perform ad-hoc assignment as required
• Identify, manage and mitigate operational risks in the day-to-day operations

II. Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field

• 3-5 years of solid experience in General Insurance

• Possession of ACII/ ANZIIF (Snr Assoc). Fellow of ACII or ANZIIF is preferred

• Well organized, work independently and able to work ahead of deadline

• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

• Proficiency in MS office

• Immediate available is preferred
