Underwriter – Non-Motor

Interasco Insurance is seeking an Underwriter – Non-Motor to strengthen its Underwriting team and manage and develop the Non-Motor portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new business and renewals across Non-Motor lines.
• Assess insurance risks and establish suitable terms, coverage, and pricing.
• Manage and monitor the Non-Motor portfolio.
• Review and assess requests outside established underwriting guidelines, as required.
• Collaborate with brokers and insurance intermediaries to provide appropriate insurance solutions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to initiatives targeted at improving it.
• Collaborate with the Claims, Reinsurance, and Operations teams on matters involving complex risks and insurance business.
• Contribute to the improvement of underwriting processes and the development of insurance products.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Non-Motor Underwriting, preferably within an insurance company.
• Good knowledge of key Non-Motor lines, such as Property, Liability, Engineering, and other general insurance lines.
• Experience in assessing and pricing insurance risks.
• Good knowledge of insurance coverage, terms, and conditions.
• Clear analytical thinking and the ability to make independent underwriting decisions.
• Very good communication and negotiation skills.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office.
