Underwriting Assistant Manager (CDD Focus)

Responsibilities

• Assist manager to monitor daily task volumes and take necessary actions to ensure department duties are completed timely and smoothly.
• Assess suggested cases from junior underwriters.
• Underwrite complicated and large cases within the company’s KPI.
• Provide quality and professional training or support to representatives of sales channels and internal staff.
• Negotiate with reinsurers for reinsurance related matters.
• Assist manager to collaborate with related parties in implementing changes or enhancements.
• Participate in promoting efficiency and professional standard of the department.
• Participate in enhancing underwriting guidelines and new solutions periodically.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or above
• FLMI qualification or equivalent is preferred .
• With 5 years or above of underwriting experience in individual life insurance industry. Candidate with less experience will be considered Senior officer.
• English & Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
• With experience in underwriting or new business related projects is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong management skills and able to work under pressure.
• Strong business sense and eager to make continuous improvement.
