Underwriting Assistant - Marine

We are working with a leading specialty insurance business in the Benelux Market, who are looking to hire an Underwriting Assistant – Marine to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in insurance. Previous insurance experience is not essential — we are particularly interested in candidates with a genuine interest in insurance and the Marine market.

The Role:

• Provide underwriting support across the Marine portfolio, working closely with Underwriters and the wider team.
• Assist with the preparation, review and processing of new and renewal business.
• Review and input policy, risk and client information accurately into underwriting systems.
• Support Underwriters with risk analysis, documentation and pricing information.
• Liaise with brokers and other stakeholders to obtain and clarify information.
• Assist with policy administration, endorsements, renewals and other underwriting documentation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure compliance with internal underwriting procedures.

About You:

• Fluent in French and Dutch with strong English
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Interested in building a career within insurance
• Commercially minded with good communication skills
• Previous insurance experience is welcome but not essential
