Underwriting Innovation Lead - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Underwriting Innovation Lead - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will help shape innovative underwriting capabilities by identifying opportunities where AI and automation can improve decision-making, workflow efficiency, and user experience. The position serves as a bridge between business needs, technology possibilities, and operational execution in a regulated healthcare environment. You will collaborate closely with business, product, and technology partners to translate complex challenges into practical solution concepts and measurable outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $112,700 – $193,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation in underwriting
• Translate business challenges into actionable technology concepts
• Evaluate solution options and assess technical feasibility
• Support development and implementation of innovative underwriting capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
• Improve decision-making and user experiences in underwriting
• Analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting, operations, insurance products, or consulting
• 2+ years working with underwriting workflows and decision processes
• 2+ years translating business problems into technology opportunities
• Experience collaborating with business, product, and technology teams on solutions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure problems and provide recommendations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to align stakeholders
• Curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technologies
