Underwriting Specialist

The Underwriting Specialist is responsible for evaluating and analyzing loan applications to determine the creditworthiness of applicants. This role involves reviewing financial data, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of lending processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Review:

Evaluate loan applications by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other supporting documents.

Assess applicants' ability to repay loans based on established criteria.

Risk Assessment:

Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate loan terms or conditions.

Classify applications into approval, rejection, or conditional categories.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Communication:

Collaborate with sales teams, credit officers, and customers to gather additional information as needed.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and workflows.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Additional Fraud Checks

Conducting additional fraud checks to help the Risk Team identify potential fraud.

Verify applicant details against known fraud databases and watchlists to detect high-risk individuals.

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
