Underwriting Specialist

About the Job

We are looking for experienced credit underwriters with hands-on experience in manual loan assessment, borrower verification, and fraud detection in the Philippine consumer lending industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and follow up on supporting documents submitted by borrowers and conduct manual credit and fraud assessments.
• Verify borrowers' identity, employment, income, and repayment capacity through phone calls and other verification methods.
• Ensure timely and accurate reviews, maintain proper documentation
• Provide basic market and customer feedback to the team

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in manual underwriting, credit verification, or loan application review.
• Work experience in Philippine digital lending, consumer finance companies, or unsecured personal loans.
• Strong attention to detail, Must have basic computer skills
• Communication skills (Tagalog & English, Written & Oral)
• At least High School, Grade 10, or Vocational Diploma graduate
• Candidates with previous manual underwriting experience at WeFund Lending Corp, Home Credit Philippines, or similar lenders are especially welcome.
