Union Bricklayer/Mason

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bricklayer/Mason Tender to support our construction team on various masonry projects. This role involves assisting skilled masons with preparing and maintaining materials, tools, and work sites to ensure efficient and safe operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist masons with concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing tasks
• Prepare and organize materials such as bricks, blocks, mortar, and other masonry supplies
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Support in laying bricks, stonework, stucco, tile, and other masonry finishes
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications
• Aid in framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roof work, and renovation activities as needed
• Assist with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, restoration projects, and roofing tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction site work or masonry preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and masonry techniques such as tile laying and stucco application
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions on construction sites
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
• Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
• Valid (or relevant identification) required for employment eligibility
• Commitment to safety standards and team collaboration

Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour
